My Dressage Horses
De Georgio (George) My pride and joy!!! 17.2hh 9 year old Gelding, By De Niro. Mum and I bought him from Germany as a 3 year old. We have competed at National level at every level from Preliminary to Medium. Our best achievments to date were coming 2nd in the Novice Restricted at the 2006 Winter Dressage Championships and we were the 2008 Elementary Restricted Freestyle Champions!!! We have recently competed in our first Advanced 100 and were placed! He is a wonderful horse, with a very big heart and character and always tries his best. He is my horsey sole mate!
Ambar, 15.2hh 5 year old Pure bred Lusitano Gelding, bought through Emergosol Lusitanos in Portugal in January 2009. I backed him as a 4 year old and he is coming along very well. He is a comical character and is very very cheeky! He also has his rather sharp, hot moments! I am letting him mature and am taking things very slowly with him. We have just been out to do a couple of Prelim tests and he behaved brilliantly for his first party! He did scream all the way through his second test and was much more interested in what was happening in the lorry park and we had a very interesting 'launch' into canter but still managed to get just short of 61%, bless him! I am very excited about him for the future!
Violino. Pure Bred Lusitano Gelding. 15.2hh 8 years old, had not been ridden for 18 months before he arrived in the UK at the end of April 2009 and had not had the best life in Portugal as his owners had run out of money, poor chap. I have slowly brought him back into work and he is really enjoying life as a riding horse! He has lovely paces and a very cheeky but loveable temperament. Due to the age that he was imported, he has been clobbered with Medium points, so he will not be out competing in the near future! Everyone admires him due to his Magical Unicorn appearance! He is great fun and truly loves his work.
Determinada (Little 'D'!) Part bred Lusitano 2 year old Filly bought by my Mum from Emergosol Lusitanos. She was an unexpected foal from a Mare that was bought and then she delivered Little 'D' prematurely who was very weak and not expected to survice. After hearing about her story, Mum just had to have her!!! She arrived from Portugal in December 2009 and has gone to live with a friend and client of mine with her 4 year old Lusinano Mare and another yearling. She is getting stronger and more strong willed by the day.

16.2hh Oldenburg Mare by De Niro, so she is George's half sister! A lovely, generous mare who aims to please. I bought her as a project in February 2008, but I couldn't bring myself to sell her, until I met Sasha who approached me about lessons and was looking to buy a horse. She also asked if I would be able to help her find a horse and when I asked her requirements, she described Ola!!! I continue to see them both weekly for their lessons and they are a fantastic partnership and have just started competing at Novice and gained 65% on their first outing, a brilliant result!

15.2hh Belgian Warmblood Gelding. A lovely little chap with a huge personality! Katie is doing really well with him and they had a fantastic first competitive season together, qualifying for the Winter regionals at Prelim level - Well done to you both and keep up the good work!
