About Becky
The beginning.......
Becky has over 25 years experience with horses, and started riding after her Mum let her have a Donkey ride on the beach when she was 2 years old!
Since then, she competed in pony club teams, showing, affiliated eventing, showjumping and finally found her love of Dressage.
The present.......
Becky (and her Mum) own 4 horses (see Photo Gallery) She has trained monthly with Classical German Dressage Trainer, Eberhard Weiss who has progressed her through the levels over the past 6 years. She has also recently started training with Lynn Perry in between visits from Eberhard, who Lynn also trains with, as Becky & George start to progress through the advanced stages of training. She has also trained with Arthur Kottas, former chief rider of the Spanish Riding School, Charles de Kunffy, International trainer, FEI judge and author and Stephen Clarke, FEI judge and Isobel Wessels. She competes regularly in British Dressage Affiliated competitons up to and including Advanced level.
The success.......
Her greatest success to date was winning the Elementary Restricted Freestyle to Music at the Winter Dressage Championships with her own De Georgio in April 2008. The pair have competed at National level at all levels between Preliminary to Medium. They were 6th in the Advanced Medium Restricted at the Summer Regionals in 2010. They have just competed in their first Advanced test at the end of August, so have reached the goal of riding in top hat and tails! Unfortunately, it blew a gale and hammered it down with rain, and Becky had to cling on to her hat!!! It certaily helped to break in the new outfit!
